‘Green’ Building Materials Surges

According to a new study from The Freedonia Group, green building materials are expected to outpace construction growth in the coming years. In 2008, green building materials generated sales of nearly $57 billion in the U.S. market, and are predicted to grow 7.2% annually for the next several years. Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood is expected to be the fastest-growing green product.
